Empowering Girls Through Education - Daraja Academy
Maiyan proudly supports Daraja Academy, a leading institution dedicated to educating bright girls from underserved communities. Our support includes scholarship programmes and donation of school books, ensuring that more girls can access quality education and a brighter future.
Local Employment & School Support
A majority of our workforce, over 100 individuals, are proudly drawn from the surrounding local communities. We also run a school feeding program for Lairagwan Primary School, and have enhanced learning environments by installing window panes in all its classrooms.
Infrastructure & Public Service Support
Through our initiative, we have constructed a modern ablution facility for Karionga Police Post and facilitated the grading and gravelling of a 1.3-kilometre section of the Karionga/Mukima access road, improving mobility and security in the area.
Sustainability & Environmental Stewardship
We are passionate about the environment. Our efforts include the development of an organic tree nursery and farm, where we provide training and promote sustainable agricultural practices. This forms part of our broader mission to inculcate environmentally responsible living in the community.
